Silks classes introduce students to the circus performing arts. We use a specialty fabric to wrap, suspend, drop, swing, and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions. The fabric may also be used to fly through the air, striking poses. Classes will regularly include strength and flexibility training. Discover the fun and skills involved to put together a circus performance.
Throughout the Aerial Silk season students will be working on developing new skills. They will be doing different progression advancing the Aerial abilities. Nearing the end of the Silks season our students will start working towards developing a routine for an in-studio showcase, where parents and guardians are welcome to come see what they have worked on.
Dancers new to aerial work start at Level 1. If you are coming to us with previous experience, please contact the studio for level placement recommendations.
